How to dedicate your Child at AGCC

Child dedication at AGCC is conducted on the first Sunday of the month during the thanksgiving and celebration service.

Here are the few things to note as you prepare for the ceremony:

Notification & Registration

• Parents must notify the Church Administrator at least one month in advance of their intention to dedicate their baby.
• The baby’s full name(s) must be submitted to the Administrator no later than two weeks before the dedication to facilitate proper documentation and preparation.

Dedication Ceremony

• The baby dedication will take place during the Sunday service and will include prayers of blessing and commitment by the Pastor or Minister in Charge.

Invite your family

• A Child Dedication is a special moment for you, your child, and your family. Invite family and friends to celebrate this time together.

Food & Refreshments

• At AGCC, we celebrate as a family. It is our culture to share the joy of the dedication day through eating and drinking together after the ceremony.

  To ensure smooth arrangements, we encourage families to contact the Love & Care Department, which is solely responsible for handling all food-related matters in the Church. All refreshments, including meals and drinks, will be prepared and provided by the Love & Care Department. External food items are not permitted.

Child Dedication Certificate

• If parents wish to obtain a certificate of dedication for their child, kindly notify the Church administration during the registration. The fee for the certificate must be paid into the stipulated account at least one week before the ceremony.

Expression of Gratitude

• While the church does not charge a fee for baby dedications, parents are encouraged to give a tangible offering towards the needs of the church as an expression of gratitude to God.
• The list of church needs is available HERE!
• Cash equivalent of the item (s) should be placed in an envelope, labeled with the baby’s name, and dropped in the Church Offering Basket on the day of the dedication.
• Alternatively, donations can be made via bank transfer  or PAYPAL with a clear reference (Baby Dedication – Baby’s Name).
